9-11 Crash Sequence
September the eleventh was perhaps one of the most tragic events in the history of the United States of America. On that morning, nineteen terrorists affiliated with Al-Qaeda hijacked four commercial passenger jets. Each team of hijackers included a member who had undergone some pilot training. American Airlines flight 11 and 77, and United Airlines flight 175 and 93 were Hijacked en route to California. Each of these where Boeing 767's and had a fuel capacity of 24,000 US gallons.

Two of these airplanes where flown into the World Trade Center, one into the US Pentagon, and the fourth plane's destination was the White House, but crashed in Pennsylvania. To the left is a picture from Wikipedia that shows the progression of one of the planes which crashed into the twin towers.

There were 2,974 fatalities, not including the 19 hijackers: 246 on the four planes (no one on board of the hijacked air crafts survived),2,603 in New York City in the towers and on the ground, and 125 at the Pentagon.

This event caused many people to turn back to God, and to trust him more. But unfortunately this quickly faded away as time went on.

I would just like to add to say something as well to the response of the tragic attack on September 11, 2001, one of the worst terrorist attacks on American soil.  People have forgotten what had happen on that day, but the patriotic-at-heart have NOT and will NOT forget.  America was like an angry hornet and all Americans wanted revenge on Osama Bin Laden and the terrorists.  But what about now?  They are wanting to stop this War on Terror.  They are wanting to bring the soldiers home, but those soldiers are protecting our freedom.  If they don't neutralize the terrorists or eliminate them from the map, it is a bigger threat to us and other innocent countries and their civilians.  I don't know about the rest of America, but I want them gone.  My opinion is different than anybody else's but so be it.

Our enemies have made the mistake that America’s enemies always make. They saw liberty and thought they saw weakness. And now, they see defeat.
